Many question during this century has been being forwarded to health-workers, scientist, medical doctor, professor of medicine, about the cure of HIV/AIDS. Many of the questioners might be dying for HIV/AIDS. Then, through this digital searching technology, Careandhealed.com like to gather any possibilities among HIV/AIDS treatments.
Below are 14 treatments for HIV/AIDS, but many of them are only a myth. Which one of them? Let’s find out.
1. ARV
ARV is antiretroviral, because HIV is a retrovirus-type. As we know, it is not a the real cure, but it can keep the amount of HIV in the body at a low level. It will give many patients a very big hope, eventhough they wouldn’get cured, but at least it can reduce the chance of being quick-worse. This stops any weakening of the immune system and allows it to recover from any damage that HIV might have caused already. Combination of three or more anti-HIV drugs is sometimes referred to as Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART). Various of these combinations are explained well here.
WHO now advises doctors, at last known as a rule of treatment, to start HIV patients on drugs when their level of CD4 cells – a measure of the immune system – is about 350. In most Western countries, doctors start treating HIV patients when their CD4 count is about 500. If the level of CD4 cells is more than that, it’s considered not give this treatment yet. Why wait to start the treatment?
The US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Anthony S. Fauci in a statement said that the public health community now has evidence from a randomized, controlled clinical trial — the gold standard — that starting ART (antiretroviral treatment) at CD4 cell counts between 200 and 350 in resource-limited settings yields better health outcomes than deferring treatment until CD4 cell counts drop below 200.
2. Red Fruit from Papua
There’s a big issue that this fruit can be given as the treatment for HIV/AIDS. But, unfortunately it is not whole true. From the research’s result which done by Biochemisty Department, Indonesia University, the component that’s used as anti-HIV in red fruit didn’t give any effects to guinea pigs.
3. Tokay Gekko
People call it as Gekko (Ind, Tokek). The enzyme that’s extracted from Gekko is known as anti-tumour. As anti-HIV, there’s no any research yet. This issue spread quickly among people and make the price of gekko higher than usual.
4. Herbal
Quite recently clinical trials were carried out by the National Aids Council (NAC) on the effectiveness of Herbal Remedies on the cure of HIV/AIDS. The trial conformed to WHO guidelines and out of the 79 Herbs that were presented for research, only four qualified to be researched, namely Mayeyanin Formulation, Sondashi Formulation made by former Works and Supply Minister and Constitutional Lawyer Dr. Ludwig Sondashi, the Mailacin Formulation made by a School Teacher, and the Ngoma Formulation.
However, the Ngoma Formulation could not be analyzed because the owner/founder died before the research commenced. 26 people infected with HIV were enrolled in the study/trial, out of which 11 were on Mayeyanin Formula, 10 on Sondashi Formula and 5 on Mailacin Formula. The objectives of the research were aimed at determining whether the herbs were safe for human use and ascertain whether they could eliminate the virus from the human body as to amount to a cure.
The Herbalists claimed that their herbal remedies could completely cure HIV/AIDS within a period of 3 Months. Unfortunately, based on the findings, the report concluded that the herbal remedies/medicines that were under study did not cure HIV/AIDS. The research covered a six month period, from November 2005 to April 2006 (which was more than the three month period that herbalists claimed their remedies could cure HIV/AIDS on the test participants). The parameters used to access the effectiveness and toxicity of the herbs were the viral load, CD 4 count and observing any side effects. The report on safety stated that the herbal remedies tested were safe for human consumption because none of the 26 participants died and that no side effects were observed.
